Standard Wood Fencing
- Galvanized and powder coated steel posts set in 30-36 inch deep concrete footings for level ground, deeper for slopes
- Three pressure-treated 2x4 framing rails-6" from the top, 6" from the bottom, and on center. Pressure-treated framing will far outlast redwood, cedar, or untreated pine framing.
- Pressure-treated "kicker" boards installed at the base of the fence to eliminate ground contact of pickets (which would result in moisture siphoning/rot/increased insect exposure) and also eliminate gaps related to grade changes and such.
- Kiln-dried (for minimal shrinkage/gaps after installation) Cedar pickets, carefully hand-selected for quality.
- Coated deck screws for all fasteners. No nails.
- We conceal the steel posts with boards.
- We can install all the pickets on one side, both sides, or we can install a "good neighbor" fence.
- Gates are mounted on Postmaster brand galvanized and powder coated 3"x4.25" gate posts set in concrete footings at least 3 feet deep. Standard gates have a diagonally reinforced square frame reinforced with exterior structural lag screws at all connection points.
- Gates are recessed and we install stop trim to prevent latch damage from slamming shut. Black decorative lockable thumb latch standard. No more messing with flimsy unreliable latches. No dragging on the ground or sticking.
- No wiggling back and forth when you close it. The gate will be the highlight of your fence. A solid, secure, reliable access point as it should be. Adding arches and additional trim work is a common and affordable upgrade that will make your gate stand out!
- We strongly recommend having us seal or paint your wood fence to protect it for years to come from the elements and insects.
